Istlanum or Hatiensis

What I'm looking for is a "show fish" to groom. I currently have a 12inch male Umbee and I love his size, color and personality. He's in a 180 gallon tank.

The Istlanum or Haitiensis will initially be housed in a 50 gallon growout tank but will eventually be moved to another 180 gallon with no tankmates. I have done my research and know what I'm getting into. I know that Istlamums are really aggressive as my friend's male destroyed the female's tail after breeding. He's also very outgoing and attacks whoever approaches the tank. Yes, Haitiensis are prone to bloat so I should make sure diet is not too high in protien. I also know Haitiensis grow bigger than Istlanums.

What I want is another "show fish," like the Umbee, with great color and personality.

If your looking for a show fish out of the two choices id go with a red Istlanum male and you wouldnt need anything larger than a 125 but a 180 would be awesome for just a single male. The Istlanums are also known as mini Umbees:)
 
I'm leaning on getting a Istlanum over the Haitiensis. The only concern now is the size difference. I've read that Istlanums max size is just around 8-9 inches while a Haitiensis can grow to 16 inches. Wouldn't a bigger fish be more impressive as a show fish?

I say it must be nice to have a 180 dedicated to 1 fish...what ever you choose you can't go wrong. Both are beautiful species in their own right.
I know this it will be one HAPPY fish! GL
