cool, whats your set up like? using any off camera flashes? (i find they are one of the most impt things for aquarium photog)

Nikon d5100 firing a SB400 flash remotely via a cable. I have it on the top of the tank firing down. If I'm trying to get to the bottom of the tank I have it firing straight in if I'm taking pics of the arowana near the surface I'll use the styrofoam cooler diffuser trick. The tank is a standard 150.

I have gotten a few pretty good shots of my other fish (see below), I just can't seem to convince the GATF to play nice. He does NOT light the camera being up close to the tank for some reason

Nice shots! A Macro lens would keep it pretty sharp for close ups. I have a 60mm f/2.8 Macro and it's my go to fish lens, lol!;)

nice! for gatf set the camera on a wide angle & tripod. try setting to manual focus where you notice he often swims and just wait
