IT Datnoid Growth

HI all,
I have a 125 gallon tank with a 2 1/2 foot lungfish, a foot long wolf fish, and a foot long oscar. My dat is currently about 5 inches and in a 55 gallon. He is eating a mixture of rosie reds and pellets. How long am I realistically look at before I can confidently put him in my 125 gallon tank?

A few of mine went from 5 inches in march to 8 inches now. Not sure what size they'd be safe at in that tank is a sa or african lung. I would nt ever put my dats with a wolf or af ican lung( if that's what it is)

Thanks for the info. its an african lungfish. Any way I can speed his growth up a bit? or will he just grow at a slow rate.

your african lung will snap and kill everything one day...just saying. Dats just grow SLOW.

hes not aggressive at all and hasnt done anything yet. Hes been in with my oscar for about 2 1/2 years.

Dats grow much faster on pellets....Stuff em full of Massivore!

If you want it to grow faster powerfeed and do a lot of water changes. Feed 5x pellets a day and 50% WC every 2 days

dats do grow slowly but they can manage more than 1" a year if treated PROPERLY meaning fed properly and their water are changed at least once a week or every 2 weeks, my 4"er who got on massivore went from 4 to 8" in just 8 months
