IT dats being stable

I have found that my IT's like to become stable between 5 PM to 7 PM. Do not know what is special at this time but aparently it means something to them. I have 6 of them that range from 6" to 10". One of them still stays dark but 5 will stabilize together.

Do you usually feed them at that time? One of my dats always becomes stable when I feed it.

By the way. What are your water parameters? I have had a hard time getting all my dats stable and I'm starting to think it might be the high PH. Also, have you found that as the dats get older they are more stable? My dats are still very young.

After 9 pm , most my dats are more stable and displaying more. Always been this way for years.

I usually feed them after the lights go out around 8 or 9. Only 1 or 2 of them will eat with the lights on. They have been that way for the whole 2 1/2 years I have had them.

My parameters are 7.6 pH and usually around 40-60 ppm nitrates

Love your dats and background! My silver and indo hide all day, I never get to see them with the lights on =(

I feed ONLY with lights in. They'll get Used to it soon. Also pics will look better when u dont need to use flash.

Use a dim light to start with. I would hate it if my
Dats only Ate with The light off. Seeing them feed .... Its one of the most appealing factors about the fish.

Seers>Water parameters... Unless extreme readings, won't make
Much difference for stability. they are quite hardy and tolerant fish. u just have to accept, some dats will never be stable In your tank, no matter what u do. But in a friends tank , it may look stunning.

I feed with the lights on as well but they will rarely eat. That is the only reason I feed with lights out most of the time because they all come out and wait in the front of the tank
