I'll just replace the silicone every time it starts to leak i guess.

Or you could just drain it now and fix it once and for all....

That would be the smart thing to to do...rather than have to reseal it numerous times when you have fish to worry about.

Not to mention it would save a lot of water...a valuable resource.

I dont know where to get the stuff he is talking about. and messiner said it would last 1-3 years or something like that, and I will be leaving in 2 years. So if it lasts untill I move than i would reseal it when we got to our new home. But if some one would like to send me a link of the stuff he was speaking of than i wouldent mind.

Here is a link.

I don't mean to sound rude but nobody can guarantee how long it might hold. It might not leak again for 10 years or it might leak next week. Trust me you don't want to break down a tank every few years with prized fish swimming around just to fix a small leak that could have been fixed properly in the first place.
Fix it once and for all.

my 2 diy sights all said silicone is better than that, ones on gard and the other i googled. So idk...

and yes the other side will be stained. but, you wont be able to see it anyway with the hoses.

:D I cant wait to see this thing running!!!:D
Looking good so far!!!
Comon more pic's!!:D

I cant really take pics of anything else untill i finish building my w/d. Today i'm screwing the crews in and glueing it together. When my dad gets home we are going to lowes or home depot and getting the pond tarp w/e its called and will drill the hole in the plywood and cut the hole in the tarp. Than, we just have to wait on the pump.

-chomper's pump, hes doing midterms or something like that.

I got a couple of questions.. first I like the tank.. looks store bought.. I like how you did the wood around the top of the tank. how did you attach it? just with silicone?

One last thing, if you really want people to hate you, put about 1000 endlers in there.. a huge tank like that you wold even see them...

I would put some huge aero's in there, or even some big priaya's in there.... but what ever you do put in there, is going to grow nicely.. keep up the good work.

Tell your dad his is going to have to build me and everyone else on here a tank as well...

Lmao, will do. He wants to start building some stands and tanks for some fellas around here who will pay for them but idk. Actully, i will take a pic of the wood on the top of the tank. its not siliconed it can be removed. I almost finished building my w/d filter ill take pics of that also.

Do a cohabitation of silver aros, some dats, rays... Heck my mind is buzzing with stocking options!

But make sure you get some true monsters, not a bunch of bread and butter fish!
Can not wait to see more pictures!

Keep it up MilkMan!
