IT HAS BEGUN MUAHAHAHAH

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
would love to see a vid. of it one day!!!

i vote for black sand and river rock...

black sand would cost SO MUCH, white would be cheaper. id do a nice neutral gravel tho.

Umm, we set it up and its got 4 goldfish in it right now, But we have a lil to much flow i think. the waters moving like mad crazy lol. I wont be able to do sand do to the water current. So its river rocks or brown gravel.

Im thinking brown with drift wood.

Should have got you gravel in and washed first of all and the backing on but then again I have been there before;) I went for black sand on my 180 this time and I really like it if you have silver or coloured fish they really stand out just the opposite if you have dark coloured fish they don’t (of cores) That’s a really nice job when its finished get all the pictures and do a start to finish thread.

How much flow do you have? (sorry if I missed it, I'm too lazy to go back at the moment lol)

Umm, The flow is like 7x i think maybe 1 less or 1 more. But it shoots out at the top of the water and the goldfish have trouble swimming a little. The goldfish keep gettign sucked into the filter so i put one of the chichlids i got for free in there, i will take a pic.

I dont think he likes it much, would it be safe to put him into my 120gallon? the fish are a lil longer but not thicker. He was mean to my lil syno catfishthing.

I recon the suction and flow must be to strong...goldfish can be pretty strong swimmers if healthy...
Maybe get some thick tall plants (real or fake) in front of the intake and outtake...they will intervene and distribute a lot of the flow.
