We added the water bed heater, But we had to take out all the media and stuff.. I found 6 dead shiners in my media and went :eek: . Toulk them out added the heater, put the media back on and everything is up and running again. Water is a lil nasty cuz we messed with the media ( and my dad toulk a bunch of sludge and threw it in my filter ) but other than that it should be ready for some monsters.

I talked to the guy, he said for 1,100+ shipping he will send the peices for a 600gallon. :irked: Why does he get the peices after i build the tank. O well.

the tank is 66*
I'll update every 2 hours with the new temp ( hope the water bed heater will work)

O yea, member that gold fish. Hes not there anymore. And im down to about 5 shiners.
 
dude you have balls for spending that much money on a tank that your building yourself. i wouldnt do it lol. i would have bought a tank and then built everything else. but that tank looks awesome especially for 1500 bucks. im gonna get a big tank one day and build me a custom stand.
 
milky, let me know if your looking for any rare/big stuff for the tank. at the store we have a 16in CK and a 12in black shark FS. pm me if you want, i got to go to a local distributer and i know what they have in.

had to buy a x-mas gift for gf

I'm gona hold off on anymore fish untill the new year :naughty:
 
Well, our sump is basicly just plywood with a tarp so it wont get wet. Its under the tarp and its ben on for about a day or so and went up from 68.

But, I'm starting to get algee on the front and sides of the tank, its getting alota sun light.
Anything i can do besides a uv cuz my pump wont allow a uv to be attached.
