Yep, yer right. that pic really was deceiving :D The 2x4 construction should have given it away. And there is no question that it has been shortened to 24". The first pic shows the height as half the width. Maybe the tank is 6x6x3? :grinno:

Milky, ya need to solve this for us. Grab a tape measure.

If thats 6x6x3 then thats the first square with different length sides that I've seen. Actually using my floor tile measuring stick:naughty: it appears the tank is 6wide 4deep 2tall for 359.06493 Gallons.:D If these are internal dimensions.

its not 3ft tall..

its 6x4x2.5 you forget that the top isent on and that adds the extra " to it. But we measured it when it came.

BTW nice job so far. :D How wide is your stand?

umm, i think longer than my tank not sure though. we had a peice of plywood and another half of one so we drilled them in. it's bugging the hell outa me because i want to finish the stand and paint it.

Impressive! Looks like it's gonna be a big 'un. One question though... Did you clamp it all together when you glued it, coz I can only see some bits of tape holding it all in place..??!
I know you said the glue works really well, but I'd be kinda nervous if I hadn't clamped it up while it was drying....

Clamps are mainly for glass, 3 of 3 acrylic companys said to use electircal tape. so we used that. theres mor tape on the inside to.

Doesn't look 30" tall either. You could put this debate to rest by taking some pics with a tape measure along all sides.
Looks like a cool tank either way though.

Silicone is for just extra support i guess. We ran out while we were doing the top so we smered it all around so the tanks a lil messy. we will drill the holes tomorrow.
