I second the flagtail for cleaning the algae mine has been eating quite a bit off my glass this past week since I purchased it and they get big enough to hang with most monsters. Try some HUGE mystery snails also maybe for the algae. As far as the UV goes, just get a seperate pump for your UV and run it independant from your primary filter system then after a good algae scraping and there isn't anymore off the glass it should help keep it gone. If you use something to soften the water that helps the algae grow less also. Sweet setup, the tank is looking pimp! More pics! ~Trent

that heater is useless imo if it only goes by what its meant for... unless it can be used to keep the whole pond heated, i'd buy one right now
I ended up getting 2 I think are 200-300 wat heaters MY dad bought them when i wasent looking. They bring the tank up to 80 on a cool day, 75 on a cold day, and 84 on a hot day.
Okay....just read most of this thread again.....what's happening with this tank now? Have you continued this on another thread dude?
