It's south florida, why would they have many pacific sharks?

Here in Europe we have hardly any large sharks of our own..

Not really a common shark in the US. Yes, the bigger aquariums have them, but South FL is fairly limited when it comes to Pacific sharks. Most aquariums focus on showcasing local life down here. Even rarer to have one hatched like this one. Most you see in public aquariums have been collected from the wild as pups.
