how can you say he needs more punishment without knowing all the facts? it was stated he was putting everything into a special slurry NOT into the lake. so unless he deliberately started pouring it into the lake, it isnt his fault if some freak accident occured and the slurry broke loose and drained into the lake. he very well could deserve more punishment but without all the facts you can know whether it was his fault or not

So you are saying just cuz he didn't meen it is alright. It doesn't matter if he didn't meen to do it but it happend. it isss his falt that something wasnt right about the tank thing. THOSE FISH STILL DIED!!!!!!!!!

BTW.... intent and happening carry different penalties. Just like 1st degree murder and 2nd degree. 1st degree has the intent to kill where 2nd degree is killing by mistake. Not the exact definition, but the same idea.
My criminal justice teacher (like 15 years ago) had a great explanation. 1st degree is a guy shooting at a passenger train intending to kill or at least hit someone. 2nd or 3rd degree is the same guy shooting at a cargo train and killing a hobo hopping a ride.
