Doing water change ...cranked up heat another notch was at 82 going to 86 and using salt now. ..question every where I read says to dissolve salt separately....I am treating water with salt that I am replacing 25 gallons but what about the remaining 70 gallons or so??

Guess I should just dissolve enough aquarium salt for the rest of the water in small container.

What I did was do a warter change and add the salt needed for my intire tank into the warter going back into the tank

I did not lose any fish (except the mollies that brought the Ick in), and at the same time as adding Nox-Ich I was adding water softener salt ($5 for 50 lbs) by the handful until the salinity level reached 3ppt (per thousand).
I believe salt is salt (Na CL) so paying the exorbitant price charged for aquarium salt, seems to be unnecessary.

I was also vacuuming the substrate daily to remove unhatched Ick cysts. By the end of 2+ weeks, I had used the entire 50lbs of salt, and a quart of Nox-Ich (I was treating the entire 300 gallons)
