It should hold right? maybe? I think...having second thoughts.

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
If the floor can't support 165lbs per square foot then i wouldn't even stand on it.

You should be fine.

so the tank is setup and running. floor is holding just fine. it is a tad off level but not enought to bother with. i'll keep you guys posted.

seems my lil brother (ElectricBlueSeanBurch) posted under my user name lol... but yea the tanks moved and looks good.

If it were to damage the floor, I imagine it would be a gradual process rather than sudden failure. After a long time you might notice some sagging, possibly cracks developing in the joists, etc over a very long period. And I second the question of has anyone actually had a floor fail?

Sorry guys, grabbed my brothers phone by accident and posted under his account. I was more concerned about long term damage. I hung string from 2 joists and made tapelines to see if it is sagging at all. So far so good. I actually got my LFS to help me move it. Well worth the money. They guarantee all the fish and cover any damage that occurs. Luckily I didn't loose any of my babies. Everything went perfectly. I only moved less than a mile down the road. All in all it took less than 3 hours. I highly recomend this option if it is available in your areas. Of coarse having a bouncer for a BIG brother (Peacock Madness) helps too. Thanks for all you replys. I really love this site.
