Knee deep in fish
i post on this every once in a while to no avail so here it is my rtc scratches now and again like the onset of ich or something my lmb and rtc/tsn look at him like he is nuts but every once in a while my rtc/tsn tries to copy my rtc the funny part is he doesnt really have the concept of scratching on something down .i swear he tries to copy the rtc but flashes in space instead of against stuff .im pretty sure the rtc is teaching him this but y does the rtc do this?water tests good and the fish look great any input?

What size are they and is there any chance of parasites? Many things can irritate a catfish' skin. I've even heard it said that filter carbon can stick to their skin in small ammounts making them itch. In any case I wouldn't be too worried about it if they are not sick and still eating fine. Highly doubt the rtc is actually teaching your hybrid anything. Fish pretty much learn from trial and error and natural instinct.

normal....hope you don't have sharp gravel.

Flashing and scratching are all normal behaviours... not to worry :D
I just noticed an electric yellow do it a few times in a row, then strangely a pleco did it too. First time I've seen him do that.

Thing is, I just treated ich in that tank a couple of weeks ago  There is no visible evidnce yet.

Should I take action now?

If I don't see any spots in 10 days I think I'll return to normal.

Quick question though, can I turn up the heat but not use any salt until I see the white spots?
