A few new photos to share with you all. Pardon their lumpy tummies...full of their shrimp dinner. :)

Just thought I'd post an update on the girls...I know they're girls now. :)

I got them a 210 gal tank, which they share with 5 adult silver dollars and 3 adult (2M, 1F) severums.

This photo shows hints of color that I think will really intensify as they get older.

how big are they now?

I actually got a ruler and measured last night...I think I overestimated their length before. They're between 9-10" now. Not bad after 3 months, I think. They certainly have bulked up a lot.

Yep, they swim together all of the time. They also really seem to enjoy swimming with the severums. They especially like to be in the middle of a big severum pig pile.

I was very worried when I put the other fish in that there'd be a war, as the pikes had never shared a tank with any other fish before. I added the severums and silver dollars, and they really seem to enjoy the company. Having the other fish in the tank is also helping the tanks learn to eat other foods...if you want to eat, you've got to eat what everyone else is eating. :)

Nice looking Jo's. And yes this is so addictive. I still hound every LFS about when are they going to get some more in! Nice set up as well.

you know ive always wondered if having other fish eating pellets helps fish that only eat live convert. i had several pikes just start eating pellets that i fed to the otehr fish without having to starve them. anyone else experience this?
