yeah I can open for you Amanda. Piece. I have to love my fish at the moment. Waldo is a needy mother that can't leave his children unattended for any length of time.

For those of you curious as to what misfortunes these fish led. It is believed that the 16 hour flight connecting in ATL originally was unable to make it's connection in ATL due to Delta airlines overbooking the flight. When looking on paper what is taken off is not dependent on if it is alive or not but rather what the sticker price is. An airline will take off the lowest value cargo which just so happened to be our fish. This changing box time from 19 hours to about 51 hours. Miguel's wonderful workmanship packing the bags, and Miles unscrupulous knowledge and caring had are the only reasons these fish made it.

Cool Thanks I will be there around 4 if that works for you if not let me know you can call me on my cell if I do not hear from you then I will call you if your not there

Sad about the shipping situation luck for the fish they had you guys
Thanks
Amanda

Aren't Oxydoras the new name for the old Pseudodoras? So bacially they're the same fish. Niger catfish.

I noticed that in the Encyclopedia of Exotic Tropical Fish.. They have colored up, and are almost completely solid black now. Waldo has some great pictures he will be sharing with us soon..

There's a recent split of the species. Both used to be considered to be Pseudodoras niger. But, the P. niger is now being defined as overall slate gray, including the fins. Oxydoras niger is now defined as having a slate gray body with black fins.

Ours looked black with black fins, and only the 'rip-saw' armoring on the side of the body was slate-grey.. Wheres those pics Waldo?

I believe Oxydoras holdeni has that characteristic of having a light colored "rip-saw". While Oxydroas (Pseudodoras) niger is just an overall black color.
