I have really been viewing this Cichla forum for 6 months now-and I am in love with Cichla! Which brings me to a problem, I was planning on keeping my Mono and Tem with some other diff. types of cichlids. However, the more I read and see pure cichla tanks the more I just want to keep cichla. What do you guys think I should do?

ive noticed that alot of people who have cichla-only tanks end up adding other fish after awhile

I have mine with dats for now while they are all grow outs but that will change only because I dont really like to keep fish together that dont come from the same parts of the world.I will eventually have mine with a few lesser cichlids.

I like variety in my tanks, but there's nothing wrong with an all-Cichla tank. What cichlids are you thinking about?

I'm going for a riot of color,Grammodes,Green Terror thats probably it.

Well, right now I have my two bass with a smaller Jag. Thinking off adding two more cichlids-eventually they will all go in my pond of 1032 gallons.

Here are the others I want:
1. Pike Cichlid Venezuelan
2. Trimac
I know Trimac can get aggressive-but I will add it last! If not the Trimac either a Black Belt or Red Terror. I want to have 5 big monsters in my pond. A while back I had an Ocellaris (atleast I thought it was) bass with a female Dovii, BB, Red Devil, Jag, and Trimac! They would fight with eachother at times but always ignored the Bass.

I started off with alot of other cichlids in my cichla tank like severums, oscars, GT etc.. since ive aquired more and more cichla the cichlids have gone and the only other fish that are mixed in with the cichla are my silver aro which ive had since the beginning and a Jag.. not to mention the plecos.. lol

sonofa...that's the tank I fell in love with and couldn't remember whose it was :D
