It's been 3 weeks+ Dat still not having pellet!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
That's reassuring ! I'm not going to feed him morios was just a rookie error of mine !
hopefully he didnt like it... haha

starve mine for almost two weeks and it finally began to accept the hikari food sticks. Never going bak to shrimps again. Lol patience now im waiting for my arowana to accept pellets

2 weeks?! you lucky ! haha
well my other indo took 2 days... to convert to pellets~~
guess its down to the individual fish too!

gdluck with your aro though!

my indo is app like 10 inches. i thought it would b hard. the last owner told me it sometimes took massivorous pellets. so im assuming theres a change. if ur indo eats it and spits it out. then theres a good chance ur getting closer. i am never going back to raw food. its too risky they will not accept pellets.

as for my aro.
my aro is a stubborn mofo. when i first got him at 6 inches. it ate pellets like crazy. then when i started introducing him to dried jumbo shrimps, it wouldnt take pellets anymore & only ate the shrimp. then when i introduce him on frozen blood worms, it stopped eating dried shrimps. wtfffffff he also eats anything thats live/fresh like feeder or raw shrimp. at this stage, its been two weeks he's not eaten yet. just spits out the pellets. im waiting patiently. im pretty sure he will chose pellets over starvation. im never going to spoil my aro w/ food ever again. pellet should always b the main diet as its got the most nutrition

Hmmm thats weird, my aro is different to yours (hbrtg)
A few weeks back I only fed him 4 worms a day (he was getting lazy! wanted him more alert) for a week. during that time everytime I threw in massivores he would take them and chew for a while (even took one every now and then)!
Haven't tried to really pellet train him though, think it might be quite easy to do for this particular one!
whereas Dats are just insanely stubborn!! :@

it takes time, im training 7 dats to take pellets, 2 NTTS (7") and 5 INDOS (ranging from 3-5")...its been nearly 2 months...it took the first dat 2 weeks to convert, and then 1 1/2 months for the other day to convert, but honestly the first dat to start eating pellets have grown nearly 1"+ and is a lot thicker than everyone else....he might even outgrow the 7" NTTS pretty soon if they dont start eating, but all i gotta say is that don't give in....i might quarantine my two smaller 3" and put them back on shrimp stuffed with massivore because i dont want to stunt them and they're still quite young...

Argh.... Indo started to mouth/spit massivores and then yesterday my aro decided to leave a worm and the indo got it...
and today he got another one... omg... what to do?!?!
