Yeah definitely. Through time I've found that smaller fish are definitely the way to go for me. I used to be into the monsters, but it just never worked out.
if you want a real challenge, try growing coral in a reef. the chemistry, lighting and filtration can become an obsession. it can also break the bank!!!!
I like an active tank so find fish that are constantly moving????
Start a nano tank. One time I built a 5.5g with a 2.5g sump. It was a just because kind of thing. It was pretty challenging and gave me hours of enjoyment trying to tinker with it.
Im starting to get more interested in smaller tanks again. They are inexpensive to purchase/build and operate. You can move them on your own without all your friends coming over. They dont take up half your house either.
