Jaw folds look very curved (never a good way to ID) and can have 4-6 pores. LL scale count is 42-46.

Do not wish to derail TS thread but this "Mala" looks very much like the Intermedius on previous thread.

Compared to this other "Mala" I got. Different head shape, different color based. Still a lot to learn in identifying Hoplias species. LOL!

Those are some nice wolves red aimara! And here is the tank. The gold wolves are super happy to have all the room to patrol and the intermedius likes the cave I made for him. My grow outs are also very happy with the hand-me-down tank! Im looking forward to have the bass and the wolves together.
