It's Flea & Tick Season!!

I have 3 dogs and just fought off the first attack. It was a 3 line attack on the enemy. Grass treatment, bedding & house bombing, and flea baths for my guys.
Hopefully I eliminated the enemy.
Everyone ready for their battles?

We get our yard sprayed for ticks. Have already pulled 7 or 8 ticks (both wood and deer) off of our dogs. Both dogs get Frontline. Once in a while we find a dead tick in their crates. Frontline is good stuff. I hate ticks!

I am actually going to order K-9 Advantix because it takes care of mosquitos as well. If anyone needs heartgard as well, let me know because I need to pick up some for my guys too.
I'll likely pick it all up 5/5/08 from my wholesaler/distributor.

your better off with frontline plus! frontline plus kills fleas and flea eggs. advantix doesnt do flea eggs. but if you more worried about heartworms then advantix would be the right one for the job!

Frontline plus only kills fleas & ticks. K9 Advantix kills fleas, ticks, & mosquitos. It also repels all 3. Frontline does not. Good point on the flea eggs though.

BTW - anyone tried Dinovite or Super Joint Enhancer? I have an ancient shepherd and wanted something to ease his aches without getting into medication.

If anyone needs heartgard as well, let me know because I need to pick up some for my guys too.

Use Sentinel, instead of Heartgard, as it kills all types of worms including whips (which are not spread by mosquitoes or ticks). I learned the hard way, lost one dog and almost lost the other two, not to mention the huge vet bill (part of which was paid by Heartgard when their product failed to protect against round worms).
