whale shark and I wish a lot of these asian countries would quit killing these creatures and let them be. The way they are going, most of the creatures in the ocean are going to be extinct.

They are so awesome.. i hope so too..
 
Whale shark, and a medium one at best. Ive been lucky enough to be with in inches of one over 25ft in the Gulf.

invisyblegypsey, how did you get offshore work? That is my DREAM job! Id clean toilets on a rig if I had too!

Liz he looked to be around 14'-16' we where hopeing he would be around when we started diveing on the platform stucture the next day but he was gone in the morning. this was in the gulf of Mexico off the coast of lousiana abought 150 miles.

i have bin in the oilfeild for over 20 years. its a differant way of life . but a good one if you like travel and long hours,. most platform jobs are a minimum of 84 hours a week thats 7-12's and more. here are a few links to get you started

i see your in alabama ride over to Theodore along the river and have a look, alot of offshore based support companies around there,

wow i bet you have many stories and memories stored... hope alot of them are in pictures...

i have alot of pic's taken over the years i need to have scand. they are mostly 35mm. a project i havent gotten around to. now that i have more time i can start that project.
 
it may not be a catfish, but still a remarkable creature! love the photos!!!

I always get sad when I see they've killed one of those creatures...

i agree NBK, even though sharks are suppose to be the king of the sea, they are slowing dieing out because of humans and squid ( in the california coast)
