lil Update -
Eggs defiantly look fertilized, but yesterday when I got home it appeared because of the small rock they chose and it's placement they have rub off some of the eggs trying to get in and out of this spot and over top of it. Kinda pisses me off a bit too becuase there is a lot of eggs rubbed off the rock now just drifting around the bottom of the tank, they look healthy, yellow in color and fertilized though... I'm unsure if these will hatch now or not, only thing I have going for me, is the tank has a nice easy flow throughout, so it's like the parents fanning them with their fins.. If these drifters don't hatch I'm down to about half left already on the rock.. It was a pretty weak spawn too, because she really only laid about (my best guess) 800 eggs... Maybe...
Well, guess we'll see whats up tomorrow night huh, should see wigglers by Friday night / Saturday I'm thinking if it's going to happen..
I also have another 16" Green PU female that's currently in another tank awaiting her turn with the male. She is considerably bigger then this one, plus she looks like she's just loaded with eggs. So it's important I move this first spawn along and move into the next which I'm hoping proves more successful as far as sheer numbers goes.. Plus I'll jocky the rocks around a bit to avoid eggs being laid on the smallest rock in the worse corner of the tank like these two did.. Lessons learned I guess, but I hoping and thinking I may get a few hundred out of this batch.
