Well...they are going to have some liability considering this is nothing new. Every year on black friday walmart makes the news for this. They should have had tighter security, barriers...whatever to keep things under control. They are certainly somewhat at fault for taking minimal action.

Seems like the typical retail store with limited staff. Well i have to say with a superpower like walmart, they have no excuses. Human rights, quality of life, SAFETY....who cares right?

the craziest part it the guy that died was like 6'5 and over 200lbs. Which is why they stuck him at the front. He had only been working there a week and had zero crowd control experience.

the mob mentality at its worst people. everyone who went through those doors at that time should be arrested and questioned.

somebody better go to jail.

I agree that they have liability because one of their employees died on their property. Its just not Walmart who makes news every black Friday, this tradition has been going on since long before Walmart started to go national, all department stores have looked forward to this day but I dont recall anyone ever being trampled to death.I dont know what beefed up security other establishments employ but back when I used to work in retail allthat I witnessed at this time of year was the store manager doing just what this poor fellow did. I agree with Ang that these people need to be sought out and locked up.Its just a damned shame that this person had to die at the hands of a bunch of money wasters,I hope all the stuff they bought gets broken as soon as its given out.

I read about the lack of crowd control on CNN i believe. Lets face it, the population is growing and currently the economy is not great. I think expecting it to be civil, or like past years is just ignorance. I agree thats it also not just wal mart, but that seems to be where the news-worthy carnage occurs.

Clearly these people need to be corralled and led through a restricted pathway like primitives because they are not fit for society.

This kind of barbarism didnt even take place when everyone just had to have a Cabbagepatch babyI have friends who actually look forward to and get up early and go shopping on his day, never understood it.
