Sorry man! This seems to be a really bad week or so for the knife community.... Just lost my BGK not too long ago as well. Don't get too frustrated though.
Yeah, sorry for your loss, but don't give up. I lost a BGK to a limax cat that i thought was too big to be eaten, next morning I saw a tiny sliver of a tail sticking out of the cat's mouth. I now have another BGK but he's in a different tank that the cat until he grows a another foot or so 
I had a bichir jump a while ago and it was quite disappointing.
Anyway, I'd like to think of it like this: now you have the opportunity to try something else. Instead of replacing it with the same fish, replace it with a different one! Keep up the variety.
