It's Time: Help Me Rearrange My Stock!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Since none of us know your fish the way you do it's tough to make recomindations. I always move things around based on the interaction I get and the personality of the fish. I know you get an idea and sometimes just need to bounce it around a little to see what everybody else thinks and once in a while somebody throughs somthing out you didn't think of. I'd start with the BBs and Argentea in the 72, Cubans in the 60 and the Freddi's in the 48, put the Cutteri in the 72 as a distraction and see how that flys. All the fish are great looking specimans deciding who stays and who goes is never easy. Good luck and keep us posted with your final decision and how it all works out.

Funny, that's exactly what I am leaning towards stock wise. Might put the cutteri in the 48" though, or possibly sell them. I do really like them but good LORD they are mean little fish when spawning!

I think that makes the most sense. I was on the fence with the Cutteri too and originally had them in the 48 be then thought the BBs and Argentea get pretty big and the Cutteri wouldn't be able to do any damage pluse keep the BBs and Argentea from bothering each other too much. I was also thinking in a 48 the Freddis might be able to kill them. Either way see what happens you could always move them.

Everyone listed is actually in the 72" tank together right now except the cubans. The only aggression comes from the argentea towards the freddys, and the cutteri towards everyone when they spawn (but only guarding a portion of the tank, they don't actively hunt out the other fish). The male black belt is super mellow to everyone except his female.

I know I eventually need to decide argentea or black belts unless I want more tanks or to upgrade. I will get a 96x24" in the future, but with the stock market this week, I am out quite a bit of money. :( Neither of them are bonded, that would be a deciding factor as well. Guess I'll get the new female and see how it goes.
