It's time to cut stock in the lyonsi tank...

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Any recommendations on how to smooth out the edges on the hole? Last thing I want is some one trying to squeeze through to get safe and get cut instead...

if you have a sanding block or piece of sand paper, that would be ideal... if you don't have that laying around, you can use the file on a nail clipper, or a dremel and an abrasive bit

I'm sure I have sandpaper around somewhere... that'd be my first though but I just wanted to make sure no one else had some other advice

How is the temp in the tank, a couple of degrees can make a big difference in aggression.

Are you saying it's high or low?

78.8 to 84 is the range I found on several different profiles for lyonsi, so 80F would be spot on for the fish. I doubt dropping to 79F would make much of a difference. I am treating a 125 SA for ich (all new fish) and once I bumped the temp from 80 to 83 all the fish started nipping each other. I had not even thought about the impact of temp on aggression in ages till then.

Interesting, I hadn't given it any though either. I'll probably work on the divider this week and we'll see how it goes.
