I GIVE UP

I think he's a damn Dwarf (bagarius bagarius) the thing has stopped growing at around 6.5in. I Got him at 5.5in. I've now been trying him on earthworms(how much more natural movement can u get)

about a week and a half ago I raised the water temp. from like 62 up to 71 degrees now

I have NEVER seen this fish MOVE on his own ALWAYS right infront of the powerhead on the floor of the tank or beside the powerhead away from the current

he's is in a 30g. long which he looks tiny in with a cave with a powerhead shooting directly thru the cave (this is where he sits most of the time)

I was adding about 2 dozen feeders a week which last him about a week now he was not eating anything for about a week I've been offering him worms with still NO RESPONSE

I THINK HE'S A FEEDER EATER AT HEART IF HE DOESN'T PUT ON ANY MORE GROWTH BY THE END OF MARCH HE'S GOING BYE-BYE

THE ONLY THING I'VE EVER SEEN THIS FISH DO IS MOVE ITS EYE EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE

I have 2 plecos that never seem to move also. One is a Ancistomus sabaji and the other is a Queen Arabesque. What good is a fish that never moves. I could carve a rock that looks like a fish and just set it in my tank and enjoy it just as much.

I here you fwlion. I was trying to give aquascape the benefit of the doubt but I dont think mine is a true yarelli either. I have plans to get what I know are true yarelli, and I may part with mine aswell. Not sure yet because apart of me has always wanted a B.bagarius aswell as a yarelli. We'll see what happens when the true yarelli arrive.

I'd take it from you in a heartbeat. Most catfish have to be acclimated to feed during the lighted hours of the day. Took months for me to see my planiceps even budge during the day. Now he eats shrimp off the bottom if I put it right in front of him. Then it's a quick strike 10 seconds to swallow and back to being lazy, but he's so beautiful I wouldn't get rid of him for the world! How long have you had it for? If that inch was for a month, that is substantial growth.
