I think they can also get food from thier parents skin too.

Your LFS should have it frozen in 100G ( 7 Oz?) packs for $5. Plenty, even for 10 spawns.

The parents dont eat them. They take the fry that wander too far into their mouths and spit them back out closer to the nest.

When They 'eat' them, all they're doing is cleaning them or moving them to another spot.
