they are cold water aren't they? so isn't 72 to hot? and even if they do only gorw to 18" they are going to need a tank twice that or more, they are constant swimming fish, so they need room to swim. they will need a pond bro.

No they are not dedicated cold water fish, they do well over a wide range of temps and low 80's is ok if they have good aeration and water quality. BTW, the tank i have them in now is not the end tank or even close to being the tank i plan to keep any of these fish in long term. I have many aquariums and the 30 gallon was just handy. By fall I plan to move them to a 75 and I have a 300 waiting in the wings too not to mention ponds and vats of several hundred gallons.

Very Nice, I have been looking to buy a couple of these, but I can't find any for sale.

Can someone provide some communication methods with these fisheries? Or can the OP get more from his breeder friend and sell them?

Please? :)

Paddlefish are a protected species, and grow very large.
They filter feeders and live in currents.
They ARE NOT for the average aquariast.
To keep one for life you would likely need a very large pond(very large more than just a few hundred gallons try thousands.), with nice movement and alot of zooplankton for these fish to feed on.

Except that many keepers tend to pretend they can house something like this, where few actually can. The OP seems to be able too, I doubt everyone asking about them can.

when you sit back and look at all the fish on this site...then you look at how many people have fish they can't house...it boggles the mind...if these fish were availible more offten you would see them in so many tanks that people think are 'good enough'...what it comes down to is that if you can get these fish you already have a heads up on how big they get as you have to go through a breeder(witch will have adult subjects)...also the fact that the qoute was directed at someone that isn't a noob is why it is so great...
