..."Hummingturd," because he is essentially a nasty little lump, floating around on dainty hummingbird wings.
(few scratches and a little algae on glass, white dots in the water are difused co2 for plants)

"Float like a butterfly, bite with a beak."

I think my fish has super ultra mega dropeye.

Perfectly aqua-dynamically shaped to fit down my toilet.

His real name is Punch. This fish is so reactive that if I sit here, where I'm typing, across a large room from his tank, and raise my arm, he follows its direction across the glass.

Nice coloration on the fella!

Hope you don't get too much grief for the eye condition as it looks a bit hazed too or the co2 factor.

Just curious though about how much co2 are you pumping into the tank? ever consider running a reactor of some sort so the bubbles aren't all in the display?

I don't think he has an eye condition, that was a joke. What you're seeing is actually the bluish reflection of the lights on his eyes, pretty normal for a puffer like him as I understand it.

Not a ton of co2 in there, it's just very visible on my camera phone.

Nice puffer, i take it must quite young judging by the photos?

That's pretty cool!

Are you measuring the Co2 with a drop checker or anything or just going by BPS? Dosing micro/macro along with the co2? Lets see a full tank shot!

I do not see anything wrong with his eyes, he looks great. Wait till they become 17 inches of pouting puffer that goes emo over everything LOL

My girl at 14" doesnt go emo over everything....

Right now it's just got a little bubble counter submerged in the sump, just under the pump. It was set at ~3 bubbles a second on my old tank that I moved it over from last month. It should be more or less the same now, but the pump itself may be sucking it out at a faster rate. Since I just moved my planted setup from a 30g to this tank, I've been sort of just waiting to see how the plants react. So far so good, though!

I also add a little liquid C02 once a week and add a more-than-recommended dose of seachem (I think they make the Flourish brand stuff, yeah? I forget) comprehensive plant supplement. Once in a blue moon I'll add a flourish tab to an area of the substrate I want more fertilization in.
