I don't come here for a review of the slipknot album, I'd go to a music site for that. If I wasn't playing fantasy football with MFKers, I'd be playing with someone else. If I wanted to talk about NFL or Extreme Badminton, I'd use my friend GOOGLE. MFK is not my source for a recommendation on a lamb chop recipe. I don't need to know what kind of vacuum cleaner Oddball uses. I would not view a thread titled "POST UR FAVRIT LAMP SHADE LOL". I don't care about your favorite song, what you think of my avatar, or who is the most famous on the forum. I come here for fish. I'll use the threads that interest me, but I don't care if they all disappear, I'm not here for that.
 
Before i became a mod my idea of the lounge was a good place to just say something miscelaneous, playful mischievious, news event, health info, computer issues, weather issues... and on and on.... these are adult subjects and this is just a few of the enormous amount of non fish related topics there is available...for adults to talk about...and also young people if they are interested... the list goes on and on... you do not need religion, sexual content, racial comments etc etc.. the lounge should be a place for everyone... of all walks of life to feel free to express themselves at at the same time respect others for their differences...cross the line and we cannot leave the thread or post simply because it is disrepectful to someone else..That should be so easy to understand.. that it is not a personal vendetta towards you...and really if you post something that gets deleted what is the big deal?... i have had it happen to me dozens of times.. but the administration of MFK thinks of all the people not just the guy who started a new thread..It makes you wake up and add things that have substance and maturity to it ..it gives you a broader sense of others that read your thread.. and a gives you the idea that what you post should have some substance and class and proper etiquette...

Now I really see your point. I was not aware of all that "whining" and I understand that it must, indeed be tiring.

My point was not about "thread deletion complaints" but about the ability to have serious debates on non fish issues with a broader, more mature, scope ( eventually not suitable for younger people )..

But I understand that it may be difficult to implement with the increase ( which is wellcome ) of the members numbers.

But keep the lounge. ban the trolls if need be, but keep the Lounge.
