Ivy in aquariums?

I’ve seen this once or twice in other setups. How safe is it to use this as a floating plant in my aquarium housed with discus who are already sensitive enough..? What’s the good and bad about using outdoor/indoor ivy strains in freshwater aquariums?

I've used golden pothos with the leaves out of the water, and had no issues with my fish. Severums would eat the roots, and young leaves with no issues.
