Thats a good find, I'll probably order one for my build.
I haven't had one of these, but I have had Jabao products. They are cheaply made, hence the price, but they usually seem to work well, especially if you are careful handling them.
I'm kind of surprised that these UV steralizers end up being so expensive. All it is is a tube with a UV light in it. The customer is responsible for plumbing a pump to it and controlling the flow. Unless I'm completely missing something, which happens, these should be pretty cheap. The most expensive part should be the bulb, but the replacement bulbs don't seem all that expensive.
Ok, I just want to make sure it won't overheat if I don't keep the flow above a certain point. I know it will be way overkill for my 220 but the price is good and I don't see any problems with using it.
Can you think of any reason I shouldn't use it, other than it is not really necessary to use such a powerful unit?
Only issue I see is using more power to run it giving you a higher bill than needed, though something like this I can't imagine it will be all that much higher. Little more expensive to replace bulbs in the future, but I think you should be fine.
I would guess there is a minimum flow rate, so long as you stay above that you'll be fine
I use these on my smaller setups (smaller than 500g). They are great and easily repaired. I have gone through several bulbs and a couple of ballasts. The power supplies tend to fail if even a drop of water gets near them. That is my one complaint. But keeping backup bulbs and ballasts in addition to a new unit is cheaper than most other uv's.
