well i'm gonna stick by my guns and say try it, don't sell the fry though. oh, and take pictures; i'm really curious to see a jag dempsey.. or jackguense?

a jackuar LOL, but yes, im 90% sure they will be able to breed, as im 90% sure ive seen this combo before, but cant put a finger on it.

i do agree though, why bother to intentionally make another hybrid...

I have some Jack X Texas my buddy came up with.

Although 99.99999% went in to another tank as feeders, I kept one 1" fish to grow out.

It's sometimes cool to breed your fish but there are inheirent (sp) dangers with as well

1) Crappy hybrids being spread around
2) Breeding is sometimes violent on your fish
3) Did I mention crappy hybrids being spread around?

and have a wonderful day.

im done here

Heres hoping.

And quick hint gents, WWII anti Semitic insults... not the way to make friends. :)

Either way, I wouldn't personally risk the JD, i imagine it getting a real shoeing from the Jag. Just dont sell the fry if it does work, use them as feeders, keep a few if your into hybrids, but i wouldn't want them getting into the mainstream and cause further confusion.

good call, just be prepared to get the jack out if it starts getting a battering, good luck
