jack and pleco

y does my jack hate my pleco? It's fins are all torn. It's a marble pleco so it's well armored but I think the jack might
Kill it
 
You should send your Jack Dempsy to a therapist he might be upset about something.

Haha but I'm serious. I thought I read that jacks really jate plecs. Any info on this? I need the plec to eat alge that's starting to grow. My oscar doesn't Niger him.
 
Some times...some cichlids are just more aggressive than others. I had a JD with an Adonis and they got along...but it might had to do with the fact that the Adonis is just covered in spikes :D
 
marble pleco have some spikes. Not big but cover their whole body... But he's not agressive to my eel, geophagus, or oscar. Just the plec

Then they both would get messed up! This same thing happen to my Convicts and Plecos (2).....
 
My JD would fight with my old pleco all the time. The fight would stem from the JD trying to steal the pleco's food. The pleco wouldn't take any crap and fight him off.

If you feel your pleco is in danger, then remove him from the tank.
 
my yellow lab terrorized everyone but my pleco, probably size difference?

different sizes can cause fights for dominance
