Haha but I'm serious. I thought I read that jacks really jate plecs. Any info on this? I need the plec to eat alge that's starting to grow. My oscar doesn't Niger him.

Your the best algae cleaner ava.......If you read Jacks hate Plecos why would you put them together

I wish everybody on MFK would get the point you don't buy plecos to eat waste or algae....You buy them to enjoy like any other fish...stop being lazy and keep your tanks free of algae and waste yourself...

i clean all my other tanks by hand -.-
just the 55 has a lot more space to clean. and my jack is less aggressive than my oscar thats why i put him in there.. its just a marble plec so he's not really that enjoyable..
i do love the way royal plecs look and i would get one of them to enjoy, but i dont have a tank for one.

My JD is really scared of my pleco everyone in my tank is. This is the first pleco I owned that would defend and fight for his/her food against the JD Convict FM but it just depends on the temperament of your JD.

when my bushy-nosed plecos show their face in the tank my 10+" Jaguar goes after them.
I have never seen any tattering of fins or tails though.
