Jack Dempsey breed with convict?

I have 2 male convicts. One that is 6" & one that's 4". I just got one jack Dempsey that ended up being a female. She is 7". When I put her in my tank she began harassing and chasing my large convict. I took him out. The strange thing is she seems to be bonding with my smaller convict. I thought the male had to be larger. If they breed what would the fry look like?

Actually, I have only seen pics of ugly fish in reference to this cross.

Beat me too it.
