Nothing underwater yet, didn't have a housing, hope to go back again this year though. They did seem thinner and more torpedo shaped, much less stocky than the normal tank raised.
The ones with the darkest coloration were either very dominant, or very old.
Live bearers dominated the habitat perhaps 10 to 1 (maybe more), and large sailfin mollies were as large as adult JDs. The only other cichlid present in the cenotes I went to, was uropthalmus (mayan), and were very few, compared to JDs, but much larger. JDs average 8", some uros 12".
I watched the JDs try to eat young live bearers, the seemed to miss 9 out of 10 attempts.
The habitat seemed like a mini version of the rocky area of Lake Tanganika or Malawi
