Freshly laid eggs are a milky white...
When fertilized they become milky pink or milky tan...
When left unfertilized they become a darker miilky white...
A fertilized egg that dies turns white...
But regardless of all of that, if the parents are tending to & protecting the eggs they won't hatch...
It takes my Dempsey eggs 3~3.5 days to hatch into wigglers. Since this thread is over 3 weeks old I guess you have your answer though. I hope the info in this thread helps you with the next time around!
