still wondering about fruits and vegetables?
will jds take fruits or vegetables?

Yes,from the time my JD's were juveniles I have fed mine peas, spinach, & lettuce as treats 2-3 times a week.It may take some time for your JD to accept them as food.

does anyone now if jd's will take crickets or earthworms?

HELL YEAH!! :headbang2 :headbang2 If I were you I'd cut the worms in half so that he/she can smell them first. thats how I got my GT to take them as he was VERY picky too.

My JD and GT go NUTS over earthworms. I buy the red worms from wal mart. they're smaller and easier for them to handle. At least they are for my fish they are still under 6"

I throw all kinds of stuff in there, crickets, flies, ants, slugs, worms, bees (cut off the stinger), spiders too. Just don't grab stuff off the driveway or from the yard if its fertilized. The driveway gets gas, oil and other stuff on it too you don't want in your tank. I think if it moves they'll eat it

Good Luck

PS Balton's avatar is one of his Jaguars I believe...not 100% sure but he has a lot of very nice fish I've/we've all seen on the site. If Green Terror's (GT's) interest you go to the Green Terror/ Gold Saum thread on the cichlid forum. We've all added pics of ours and it turned into a really cool thread. Check it out! :D

thanks for all the imfo guys
