hey guys just looked in cave today and some started to hatch??? not much yet some are in egg but i can see there tiny lil tails!!! lmao! is this a great nale or what haha:D
 
i work at a pet store in brooklyn, and from my customers and my personal experience dempsey's and jewel fish breed super small.. ive even heard of red devils doing the same thing..
 
hey ok well i know they hatched today but i found a free swimmer! orange also! where did it come from i got no other cichlids and it looked like 6day old fri you can see the tail fin everything so where did it come from and arent dempsy fry striped? i was gonna take a pic but it hid and never came out and i havent seen the rest of the fry but this ORANGE FRY!
 
hmm thats interesting . could just be the light shinning thru the fish but might be a gold jd from the pair . are you sure they didnt laid eggs before now or did any other fish?
 
This is getting weirder and weirder. First they lay eggs at a small size, then the eggs hatch, which is crazy because they are even fertile and also because such young dempseys usually eat the eggs first couple tries, and to top it all off, you found a gold??? Dude, excellent work! Congrats! It must be that Salem water!
 
well whatever it is! i dont get! lol well ima check today see if i still see any fry
 
yea there still alive but not orange they are still wigglers
 
thats good . fry sometimes look yellow or orange when they first hatch also
