Jack Dempsey vs. Dovii or Jaguar

I'm not fighting fish because that's super messed up, but I am interested to know which fish is most powerful between a jack Dempsey, a jaguar cichlid, and a Dovii. Also what fish will have similar aggression and power. And I don't want to hear a convict because every kid and his mother has one.

Depends on the individual fish, not the particular species...one Dovii can be a murderer and the next will get chased around the tank by a Convict all day. Same goes for any species of Cichlid. My big Jag is a softie, the baby Jag is violent. I've had Dempsey's that were vicious and some that were total passive.
 
I have a Cuban cichlid that is meaner than all my other fish (Dempsey's, Jags, Festae, Texas, Kraussi, Paratilapia)...it literally ripped my Midevil's face off today...left it's jaws and half it's face hanging while the mouth still opened and closed.
I'm glad, I put the Midevil in the killer tank yesterday because it was being a dick to the fish in it's tank...what goes around comes around and thensome!
 
The dovii and jag are more closely matched physically. At 12in if a Jag or Dovii want to dispatch a JD they can without a ton of effort and thats not even a full grown jag/dovii against a fully mature JD. Jag/Dovii are parachromis piscivores (fish eaters) they have the tools to inflict some serious damage if they choose. JD's are more on the green terror argo level from my experience. Theres special exceptions, but if you put all 3 at the same size, maturity, and same aggression level. The dovii will come out on top.

Parachromis, Amphilophus, Nandopsis, Cichlasoma are all some pretty tough customers to deal with.
 
Actually, whilst it is true each individual cichlids have their own personalities, there is the 'general' temperament of a species as a whole. For example, in general you can expect a Red Devil to be crazy mean compared to a Green Texas, but by chance you can get a super mellow Red Devil and a crazy Green Texas.

Comparing the three you listed, I'd say Dovii - Jaguar - Jack Dempsey would be the order of aggressiveness.
