I have a male JD and a female synspilum. They are "extra fish" in a tank together. I see spawning behavior. Is it possible? Offspring would look really cool IMO.
Thanks,
Justin

Is it safe to say I got my answer? Does anybody have pics of this cross?
I'm sure it could happen. I've never heard of that cross though. in the hybrid section there is a pinned thread full of hybrid pictures. maybe you'll find something in there.

Possible, though I've never heard of it. If it does happen please make sure the fish stay in your tanks!

Most hybrids just don't look right to me, in my fish keeping infancy I thought certain combinations would look cool but they all end up just looking like ****. Dempsey x Synspilum is a perfect example; two gorgeous fish on their own, how could a combination not be good?

Well, I bet it isn't.
