You have some nice fish! Those tex/demps hybrids have great coloration but that SRS is crazy red! Where did you get her?
Could b a hybrid or just strange colored Texas

i actually have 2 decent size (between 4 and 7 inches) texans and will be getting a group of smaller ones in the next month or two. i live in south texas, where they are wild.
I love these things! One of my favorite hybrids. Would love to try breeding some. Does any body know though, if the offspring themselves are fertile? When you make a galaxy (tex/jd) cichlid like these, can you then breed them to each other and get the same thing? That would be fantastic! Here is a video I have watched a few times on one of these supposed hybrids. Not the best lighting but great looking fish!

I think what I like about these guys is they have a bit of that broader bodied texas shape with the jd colors. Fantastic combo!
Now they are something! I can say I have never seen this mix but really like how they turned out Texas body Dempsey coloring very nice!
