My jacks' eyes burst. It happened on both jacks on both eyes. On all four eyes it is the same hole directly over the pupil with the eye film pointing outward(which is why I say burst). I don't think it has something to do with aggression, but they have and still are in their breeding dress. They are not eating and I toke out all of the decorations just in case they are blind and they bump into stuff. I also took out the heater, so a bacterial infection won't form. I don't want to add melafix because it might hurt their exposed eye. They are swimming around fine. What could have caused this: a change in pressure, parasite? I can't get a good picture of the eye burst, but the eye looks normal beside that. Weird how this is all happening after I put the heater in.

My jag had that i just did wc upped the temp and added salt. Cleared up in about a week or two. gl
Same thing happened to a Thread Fin Acara I had. I raised the temp to 88, salted and hooked up an air pump to a couple of air stone discs. Cleared up in a couple of weeks.

its prolly not a injury since it happened to both eyes on both fishI think I am seeing the damage.... not sure if its an injury or disease...I do think it will heal
