If this is a Dempsy, would it be a better companion for my 2 small peacock bass than my Africans?

peacocks will eventually eat it, most likely will work better with the Africans as long they are not adult aggressive mbuna

it should be fine with the PB for the short term. The bass grow a lot faster than the dempsey though, they would probably eat it eventually. Probably would leave him in with the africans, the JD's temperament should match up pretty well anyway. My 9" JD is quite the bad*** in his tank, and he's living with 4 adult turtles.

Seriously would pbass eat it? Hmm yea maybe indeed if they grow a lot quicker then the Dempsey.

Don't know what African cichlids you're talking about, but Dempseys usually aren't that aggressive, they aren't Midas or Jaguars.

My dempsey wasn't supposed to be aggressive but he definitely holds his own and pushes fish two or three times his size around all the time.

I wouldn't put that with pbass. Looks like that little dempsey will be a beauty one day.
