No need to be pessimistic. I'm not saying they WILL breed, I'm simply saying there's not a 100% chance that the WON'T. Either way, there's no dramatic loss.

I admit I've seen some crazy cichlid hybrids, but a jag x oscar hybrid is not possible. Especially since they've both been so common in the hobby. They would have already be exploited if the combination was possible.

If by some unforeseen chance that these eggs are viable and hatch, you will have truly strange hybrids. Would they all look the same or would each have distinct features? What eating and territorial habits would a Jagoscar have? I doubt if it's possible but I'm really interested to see what happens.
