I got a free jaguar last week from my work because its fins got destroyed by a bunch of oscars and they were going to euthanize it because it hadn't eaten in a week or so and it wasn't moving too much. I took it home and put it in my 75 with a divider and the oscar on the other side. It has gotten much better lately and will eat and attack your hand when you put it in the tank. I took the divider out today and they are living together quite happily! I enclosed a picture because some people say don't mix a jag with anything in under a 180. Well, I win! Both are around 10-11 inches. With a full tail, the jag would probably be 13, but you can see how bad it is right now.

don't get to excited yet...the jag is still missing almost all its tail and is probably still stressed out....wait till it heals and see what happens.

Sweet.

umm ur jag hasn't matured yet either but keep thinking that let alone that's way to small for the jag alone but woooooohoooo ur quiet the accomplisher

What do they say? Pride cometh before a fall? lol 2 huge fish can't stay in a 75 g even if they did get along. Somehow I just don't see the outcome as a good one for the Oscar.

I don't see the problem with the stock. People say that a 75 is fine for an oscar, so a jag the same size shouldn't have a problem. I believe that having 2 fish in this tank is fine as long as they get along. A little bit of lip locking has occured over the past few hours, but there are some convicts in there as dithers, so hopefully it works out. Otherwise I just put the eggcrate back in.
