Hi.

I have a question for you guys. Do you think a combo jag/oscar would work out in a 125 gal tank for life without jag killing the oscar???.

I highly aprecciate your experienced input.

if u had to do it in a 125 add little dither fish like convicts and silver dollers

Jags never make good tankmates since they will pick on the other fish till death. Since Jags and oscars are very territorial they will not work for eachother. Also
a 125 will not be big enough for them, a 180 would be fine. Sometimes the two fish can be peaceful and actually would work out but that is usually not
the case.
Since you do have the tank then why not you put some oddballs in it such as.
Mormyrids
Bichirs
pike cichlids
hujeta gar
eels
4 eyed fish
Predatory characins
puffers
etc

its not something i would try i think there are better combo's of fish with better chances of working out long term

what would you consider it is the right size to keep them alltogether for life?.

id say a 180 would be fine but if the jags crazy really no tank size will stop a jag from killing an oscar if it wants to

Exactly what he said. ^^ I really wouldn't even attempt it due to Jag's notorious aggression but 180g would be the minimum I would attempt it at if I had to.
